A young boy, noticing his mother’s burgeoning belly, asks innocently, “Hey Mom, why do you have a big belly?”

With a chuckle, the father replies, “Well, son, it’s a bit of a magic trick. But don’t worry, you’ll understand when you’re older.”
Satisfied with the explanation, the boy bounds back to his mother, brimming with excitement. “Mom, Dad told me about the little baby you have in your belly! It’s a magic trick!”
His mother can barely contain her laughter as she pulls him into a warm embrace. “Yes, sweetheart,” she says, ruffling his hair affectionately, “Dad and I have a little surprise for you.”
And as the boy revels in the joy of his impending sibling, his parents share a knowing glance, grateful for the innocence and wonder of childhood.
