Once upon a time, there was a man named Joe who loved telling jokes.
One day, Joe was running late for work and he bumped into his friend, Mike, on the street. Mike noticed Joe was out of breath and asked if everything was okay.
Gasping for air, Joe replied, “Please, may I hide…” puzzled, Mike waited for Joe to continue.
Joe then exclaimed, “Sorry, I’m just trying to catch my breath!” Mike burst into laughter, realizing Joe was just trying to tell a joke, even in his breathless state. From that day on, “Please, may I hide…” became their inside joke, bringing laughter to their friendship whenever they remembered it.
