An elderly woman went to visit her dentist for a routine checkup. As she sat down in the dental chair, the dentist greeted her warmly and asked, “So, how are you feeling today?”
The old lady replied, “Well, to be honest, I’m a bit nervous. I’ve always been afraid of dentists.”
The dentist smiled reassuringly and said, “Don’t worry, you’re in good hands. We’ll take it nice and easy.”
As the dentist began examining her teeth, he noticed something unusual. “Hmm,” he muttered, “it looks like you have a bit of a problem here. It seems one of your teeth is feeling a bit loose.”
The old lady’s eyes widened in alarm. “Oh no! What should we do?”
The dentist thought for a moment and then replied, “Well, I have a few options. We could try to save the tooth with a filling, or we could extract it if necessary.”
The old lady considered her options for a moment before responding, “You know, I think I’d prefer to just pay the tooth fairy a visit instead.”
The dentist couldn’t help but chuckle at her clever response. “Well, that’s certainly one way to handle the situation,” he said with a smile. “But let’s see if we can’t save the tooth first, shall we?”
And with that, the dentist got to work, providing the old lady with the care and attention she needed to ensure her smile remained as bright as ever.
