John couldn’t help but chuckle at his wife’s antics. “Well, you certainly had me worried there for a moment. You make a convincing Sleeping Beauty, but I think I prefer the real you.”
Relieved that Mary was alright, John hugged her tightly, grateful for the chance to spend some unexpected quality time together. And from that day on, whenever John came home early, he made sure to announce his presence loudly to avoid any further theatrical surprises from his wife.
