A wife goes on a retreat for work for a few days, leaving her husband home alone. While she’s away, he decides to surprise her by redecorating the house. He paints the walls, rearranges the furniture, and even buys some new decorations to spruce up the place.
When the wife returns, she’s shocked to see the transformation. She exclaims, “Wow, everything looks so different! What happened?”
Her husband replies with a grin, “Well, while you were gone, I thought I’d give our home a little makeover. I wanted to surprise you!”
The wife looks around, taking in the changes, and says, “Oh, honey, this is lovely, but where’s the kitchen?”
The husband laughs nervously and replies, “Oh, I moved it to the other side of the house. You know, for a change of scenery!”
The wife sighs and shakes her head, realizing her husband’s attempt at a surprise may have gone a bit too far.
